Growing Point has a new Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle! This replaces the minibus kindly donated by Stanley House several years ago which sadly had become unroadworthy. The option of using taxis for client transport proved unsatisfactory because of unreliability. This caused anxiety for gardeners since they didn’t know when or whether a taxi would arrive. A fundraising appeal was started for a replacement vehicle and thanks to local support and donations from further afield, we took delivery of a nearly new Fiat Doblo 1.4 WAV at the end of 2023. We are hugely grateful to the people and organisations who contributed to our appeal:

The charity can once again offer reliable and safe transport for the vulnerable people who benefit so much from horticultural therapy. Our car park has also been improved thanks to a delivery of five tonnes of scalpings kindly donated by Gore Quarry of Kington. Gardeners had a great time spreading it about!
