In addition to fundraising events, we also rely on the generosity of individuals and grant-making organisations to fund our work. With your help, we can continue to support an amazing team of tutors and volunteers as well as maintain and improve our facilities.
BE A VOLUNTEER AT HGP
Volunteers play a crucial part in Herefordshire Growing Point’s work. Our outstanding team of volunteers has been recognised by the Queens Award for Voluntary Service. We always need more people to help the charity flourish and our clients to enjoy the many benefits of gardening. There are lots of ways to contribute as a volunteer, including:
- Working one to one with an individual gardener
- Helping a group of gardeners
- Maintenance of the Demonstration Garden
- Driving clients in our people carrier
- Lending a hand on occasions such as garden visits and fundraising events

MAKE A DONATION TO HGP
You can make a donation to Herefordshire Growing Point through our on-line giving page on Givey. This platform is cost free for the charity so 100% of your donation comes direct to us.
You can also raise money on our behalf through a sponsored walk, cake sale or something similar. Givey allows you set up your own fundraising page. Please email us to let us know what you are planning and we may be able to help publicise your campaign.

LEAVE A LEGACY FOR HGP
Leaving a legacy to Herefordshire Growing Point would help the charity continue its important therapeutic work in the county. If you have already made a Will, a short codicil can be added, stating the amount you would like to leave to the charity. If you haven’t yet made a Will, everyone at Herefordshire Growing Point would be extremely grateful if you were to include us amongst any legacies.
Either way, it is important that you give the full name of the charity, the address and charity number. It is also recommended that you consult a solicitor or financial adviser.
Any legacy of whatever size would be of immense value to us, and we are most grateful for your thoughtfulness.

Herefordshire Growing Point received the prestigious Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service in 2013.
The certificate was presented by Lady Darnley, Lord Lieutenant of Herefordshire.

Expanding our outreach sessions – to reach isolated people and more clients in residential or day-care centres.
Sustainable horticulture in our demonstration garden – replanting beds used by our clients, adapting to climate change and periods of drought.
New horticultural therapy activities at Credenhill – focussing on clients with mental health issues.
